What do you think makes you different from other companies similar to yours? – Benefit Professionals realizes the companies we serve deserve personalized service. Many employers are not aware of all of the compliance requirements that exist when offering a group medical plan, especially when dealing with Health Care Reform. As their broker, our clients can rely on us to keep them completely informed, build a proactive plan and hold their hands throughout the process. All team members are dedicated to providing our clients with exceptional support and service on a day-to-day basis.
What do you like about doing business in Omaha and Lincoln? – Being locally owned and managed, we enjoy working with Midwest-owned companies that have the same work ethic, morals and values.
What kind of community organizations/groups are you involved with? – Benefit Professionals believes in supporting the communities in which we do business in and are members of several Chambers of Commerce – Omaha, Sarpy County, Fremont, and the State Chamber. Benefit Professionals has staff members that are active in these chambers as committee members. Our management staff serve as active board members with the La Vista Community Foundation and Omaha Association of Health Underwriters. We also lead an annual coat and blanket drive and are longtime supporters of Cedars Youth Services in Lincoln.
Do you have a business philosophy or mission statement? – Benefit Professionals, Inc. was founded with the objective of providing quality solutions that exceed our clients’ needs and expectations. We believe in earning our client’s business every day. Quality is our main mission and it applies to everything we do.
What was the biggest turning point in your business? – PPACA (Health Care Reform) has completely evolved and changed the benefits industry. As brokers we have had to adapt our business model to include compliance guidance as well as technology and reporting avenues to assist our clients. Compliance has always been important, but now it is one of the leading topics in all benefit discussions.
What do you see happening with the business in the next five years? – Health Care Reform has and will continue to have a major impact in our business. We are committed to educating our clients and helping them prepare for how these changes will continue to impact their business.
