We are a local, family owned and operated, full-service fine jeweler. Sartor Hamann Jewelers has 3 locations serving customers statewide and beyond, including a full-service jewelry manufacturing house in downtown Lincoln, a beautiful showroom at SouthPointe Pavilions, and another showroom in Grand Island, NE. We’re widely recognized as “The Engagement Ring Store” and best known for our impressive selection of Ideal Cut Diamonds, Fine Swiss Watches, Fine Colored Gemstones, and Top Bridal Brands, but also specialize in custom design.
How long have you been in Lincoln?
We were Lincoln’s first fine jeweler, serving our community since 1905.
Who are the owners/important executives?
The business was founded by Ernest Sartor, who later partnered with Bill Hamann and his son, Don Hamann to become known as Sartor Hamann Jewelers. Today, as a fourth generation, family-run company, Sartor Hamann is managed by Don Hamann, CEO; Rick Hamann, Executive Vice President; and Jordan Hamann, Head Buyer.
What do you think makes you different from other companies similar to yours?]
We are always on the cutting edge of style, fashion and technology, with more Master Jewelers on staff than anyone in the area. Our credentials and experience, and involvement in the industry, are unparalleled as well. Rick and Jordan are both GIA Graduate Gemologists earned by Gemological Institute of America in California. Don is the former President of Jewelers of America and Chairman of the Board Jewelers Mutual Insurance. Finally, as a family-owned, service-driven company, we treat our customers as close friends who deserve only the very best.
What do you like about doing business in Lincoln?
Having the opportunity of developing lasting relationships. We have now had the honor of serving multi-generations of families in the span of over 100 years, and take immense pride in helping our customers find the perfect gifts for the most special times in their lives.
What kind of community organizations/groups are you involved with?
Don Hamann has always been passionate about the Lincoln community and we at Sartor Hamann love to give back to our amazing city. We are actively involved in numerous local non-profit groups, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the People’s City Mission. Don is a huge fan of supporting the arts in our community as well as our local parks, which includes organizations such as the Lied Center for Performing Arts, Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra, and Lincoln Parks & Recreation. We are also proud supporters of the Team Jack Foundation, United Way, Young Life, Royal Family KIDS, and JDRF.
