Located in south Lincoln at 77th and Pioneers Blvd, MōMō Pizzeria & Ristorante offers a chef-driven menu that is as fresh and unique as the beautiful interior of the restaurant.  Chad Hoffman is the General Manager of MōMō Pizzeria & Ristorante.

Tell us a little about your business. – MōMō Pizzeria & Ristorante is a locally owned, casual dining restaurant specializing in Neopolitan style pizza.  In addition, we offer a rotating seasonal menu that includes entrees, fresh salads, appetizers and desserts. We believe that food is the best when it is prepared from scratch using the freshest ingredients available.

How did you get started in the business? – My older sister, Melissa got me a weekend job bussing tables at a local restaurant when I was 14 years old. Over the course of seven years, I worked my way to a management position. I hopped around different industries, but found my way back to food service.

Tell us a little about your family. – Both of my parents are from Lincoln and I have two sisters.  My older sister Melissa lives in Lincoln and she has two children. My younger sister Nicole lives in Cincinnati and she has twin babies. I am married to a beautiful woman named Jenifer and we have a dog named Whiskey.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Right now. Every day has the potential to change the course of one’s life. If we can remember that, we can make the choices needed to stay focused on the goals we have set.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I usually have Sundays off and I truly enjoy spending quality time at home with my wife and our dog. We like to go for walks with our dog and I enjoy relaxing outside of the busy restaurant environment.  Also, I am very fortunate because Jenifer is a terrific cook. Sunday night dinner at the Hoffman house is always exceptional.

What are you the most proud of? – My marriage.  It is my greatest accomplishment; just talking her into it took nine years.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – ‘Make good choices.’ I think we get bogged down trying to figure out the ‘best’ choice.  When we make ‘good’ small choices, we realize ‘great’ big goals.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Professional baseball player.  I dreamed of playing third base for the Yankees when I was a kid. To this day I still can’t imagine a better job.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Positive.  Everything starts with the belief that we can affect our world. Also, I hope that my impact on the lives of everyone around me is positive.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – Anything Jedi. Even just moving rocks with my brain would be way cool.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Aristotle.  It would be interesting to try to understand what he would say about the modern world.  I imagine the conversation would be rather one-sided, but that would give me more time to eat.
