Tell us a little about your business.

We are dedicated to helping you and your family live a healthy, pain-free life. We strive to give each person an exceptional chiropractic experience.  Better spine, better life.

How did you get started in the business?

I was first introduced to chiropractic while I was completing my undergraduate degree at Nebraska Wesleyan. I knew I wanted to do something in the health care field but wasn’t quite sure what, so I shadowed some chiropractic offices and fell in love. I attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, KS and after graduation, I practiced there until my heart took me back home to Nebraska. I joined the team at Green Chiropractic about a year ago and it was the best decision that I have ever made.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

I learned quickly that our society is so used to seeing the word ‘healthcare’ and relating it to drugs and surgery. But that isn’t healthcare – it’s sick care. Drugs and surgery are important in crisis situations but unfortunately that is when a lot of people make their health care decisions – when something major goes wrong. The approach chiropractic takes is a proactive one that makes sense if one is looking at life-long health success. The nervous system is the most important system in the body as it controls everything. If it isn’t functioning like it should, neither will anything else. That is why spinal health is so important! With all of the mixed messages in our everyday life from the media, shifting this typical viewpoint is my greatest challenge.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

I’m proud to be a certified practitioner of Chiropractic BioPhysics® or CBP®, the most advanced, most researched technique in chiropractic. These procedures are used to help you look, feel and move better. In short, we correct postural distortions created by repeated or prolonged pressure on the spinal cord and nerves as a result of injury, repetitive work, stress, gravity, sports and the aging process. We are able to move the spine back into as normal a position as possible and restore proper function.

Tell us a little about your family.

I have been married to my husband Brian for 5 years. We have an amazing, spunky 2 year old son. Having my little guy really allowed me to learn more about women’s health, pregnancy and pediatrics in chiropractic. I’ve received additional training and certifications in these areas through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. In our family, we love all things sports. We cheer on the KC Royals and of course, the Huskers!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

If you truly give 100% to your patients and give them good care and service, your business will prosper.

Which talent would you most like to have?

I wish I could sing well. I love listening to music and I get goosebumps when I’m at an event (like a wedding) and the singer is amazing. I’ve attempted karaoke a few times, but let’s be honest, it’s hard on the ears.
