Julie Bantam was working in health care doing budgets and financial planning when she wanted a change.  She answered an ad in the newspaper for Bryant Cosmetic Surgery and was hired 21 years ago.  She feels it’s been a great change and she enjoys helping people rather than dealing only with numbers.  Bryant Cosmetic Surgery specializes in breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reductions, tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts, eyelid and nose surgery.

Tell us a little about your family.
I am married to my husband, Doug.  We have two married daughters: Emily and Tena. I also have six grandchildren ranging in age from 15 to 2.  They all live in Lincoln so we are very lucky because we get to see them very often.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
That is easy–when I married to my husband Doug.  We have been married for 40 years. I have been able to have many advantages because of this.  He has not made me grow up totally!  He is the stable one and he has worked for Lincoln Electric Systems for 33 years.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
Play golf or do something with my family.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
When I was in high school I rode a motor cycle.  There were no helmet laws then and my kids can’t believe that their grandpa actually let me!

What are you the most proud of?
My family, they keep me grounded.  I also am glad for all that they have been able to accomplish.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Don’t sweat the small stuff, and do not worry until you need to.

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish?
To stay healthy and to be able to travel more in the United States.  I would like to spend more time in the Southwest, winters there are not so cold and I can play more golf.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
I really enjoy cooking and baking. I like having a little more time to do this on the weekends.  It is fun to try new things.

Which talent would you most like to have?
I would like to be able to read faster.  There are so many books I would love to read and I feel like I do not seem to find the time to get them done.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
To try and look at a situation from all sides before making a decision.  I sometimes make my mind up too quickly and feel bad for not taking more time.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest

What is your favorite movie?
It’s a Wonderful Life and Marathon Man

What is your favorite TV show?
House

What is your favorite Lincoln restaurant?
Vincenzo’s

If you could have dinner with one person from the past or present, who would it be?
My grandfather and my dad. They have both been dead for many years, but there was always a lively discussion when they were alive.  They kept up on all the politics and current issues of the time right up until they died.  It would be fun to see what they had to say about what is going on in the world today.
