Tell us a little about your job.

I’m responsible for overseeing the daily management of approximately 25 properties and 8 associations.

How did you get started in the business?

I’ve actually been around the commercial real estate industry almost my entire life. My mother, Tara Galaviz, has been with the same team here at Greenleaf Properties for nearly 20 years and she’s always been so happy and passionate about her work. When I had an opportunity to join the firm last year, it was a very easy decision. My position allows me to help others every day, which is extremely rewarding.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

Learning to be more outspoken. I came into this job as a pretty quiet individual but quickly learned that in this role, that doesn’t always work.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

To date it would be getting my real estate license within the first six months of working in real estate.

Tell us a little about your family.

My parents and I moved to Lincoln when I was about six months old and I have a brother who was born a few years later. I’m fortunate to have grown up here in Lincoln surrounded by my immediate family as well as most of my extended family. We are all very close and I love to spend time with them whenever I get a chance.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

Relax with my family, friends, and dog.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?

One of my biggest passions in life is gymnastics. I was in the sport for over five years when I was younger and continue to stay involved through coaching now.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“Stop wishing for it and start working for it.”

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?

Caring.

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

Teleportation. I love to travel so it would be amazing to be able to transport myself anywhere!
