Union Bank & Trust recently promoted Jeff Jewell to First Vice President—Trust Administration and Megan Wiedel to Trust Compliance Officer in Trust Administration.
Jewell joined the bank in 1993 and has spent the last 15 years in the Investment and Trust Division. In his new role as Trust Operations and Technology Manager, he is responsible for coordination of the operational activities, projects and other initiatives. In addition to these new responsibilities, Jewell will retain all present management duties, including oversight of Adminisystems, Short-Term Investment Operations, and the Tax and Financial Reporting functions of the Investment and Trust Division. Jewell is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Wiedel joined the bank in 2004 and has over 7 years trust experience. She oversees compliance monitoring with relevant laws, regulations and adherence to internal policies for the trust division. She is also responsible for implementing applicable regulations or changes to existing regulations within the trust division. Wiedel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute and holds the Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS) certification.
