Lincoln Running Co. Launches 2021 “Beginner’s Luck” Running Program
If you’re looking to start a running program, losing weight and need an exercise program to help get you in shape, or want to do a road race but don’t know how to prepare, Lincoln Running Co.’s (lincrunningcompany.com) “Beginner’s Luck” classes are for you! On tap for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday from June 9 to July 28. Each session—in the commons are at Southwest High School—will start with a speaker covering a topic related to running … and then the running begins. They will have four different running schedules to follow, starting with an option for the “very beginning” runner and advancing from there. Lincoln Running Co. will also have a host of volunteers on hand to advise and encourage runners throughout the class and running sessions.
The goal of Beginner’s Luck is to inspire and motivate people who want to run. Participants will meet some great new friends who will hold you accountable, and vice versa, to continue running even after the class ends. Beginner’s Luck accomplishes more than that, though, as noted by a recent participant, who said: “In this class, you learn to be healthy, you learn proper techniques, you learn about how to deal with aches and pains, and you learn how to become a better, healthier you. The best part is you may show up alone, but you will have an entire group of people and coaches there beside you the entire way.”
The Lincoln Running Co. is Lincoln’s oldest locally owned running specialty store, having served Lincoln runners for nearly 40 years. For more information about Beginner’s Luck, stop by the shop at 1213 Q St., visit lincrunningcompany.com, or call (402) 474-4557.
