Running every Wednesday evening, from 5 to 7 p.m., in May through September, the Hub Farmers Market attracts a crowd interested in purchasing locally-grown food, listening to live music and enjoying food from the Hub’s monthly Market Menu, featuring items sourced from the vendors themselves. The summer produce is finally starting to ripen, so what better way to celebrate than by purchasing locally grown fresh food while listening to live music and enjoying good food and drinks on the patio with friends?
Hub Café (hubcafelincoln.com) has always been proudly locally sourced, farm-to-fork and made from scratch, so they are extending that support to you! Hub Farmers Market started in 2020 as a pick-up location for two area farmers to distribute their weekly CSA or vegetable subscriptions. Now, it’s grown to include additional farmers and producers who appreciate the opportunity of a mid-week market. There is ample free parking, and the market is located right on the Billy Wolff Trail in Union Plaza.
You can experience cool drinks, music and food all in the shade for the market. The music runs from 5 to 7 p.m. and Hub Café will serve food and drinks from 5 to 9 p.m. out of the Jayne Snyder Trails Center. Stop by the market welcome desk for information about the SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks Programs.
Hub Café has always been committed to sourcing ingredients from as many local growers and small farms as possible in the Lincoln area, and they will continue to drive their desire for cultivating a united community spirit through their unique farm-to-fork creations.
