One event on August 9, 2022 at 2:00 pm
Legacy Retirement Communities invites members of the community who would like to learn more about memory loss to take part in the final two sessions of their four-part “Legacy of Learning” series taking place this summer.
Memory loss affects millions of Americans every year. Helping persons with memory loss and their loved ones navigate through the challenges can seem like an insurmountable task. In the Lincoln community, help is available from the experts at the Legacy Arbors Memory Care Community.
The first two sessions of Legacy’s learning series focused on how to tell the difference between normal aging and memory loss and how to respond when a diagnosis of memory loss has been made. The next session on July 12 will cover challenges and tips for helping a loved one with memory loss. On August 9 the series wraps up with the signs it may be time for your loved one to live in a memory care community – and what to look for when choosing a community. Both sessions begin at 2 p.m.
Leading the series is Michele Carlson, activities director at Legacy Arbors. Michele is a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer and a Certified Dementia Care Practitioner. She has been a key member of the Legacy Arbors staff for more than 15 years and is a valuable resource for Legacy residents and the Lincoln community.
The Legacy of Learning events are free and open to the public. To reserve your seat, call (402) 466-3777.
