Nebraska Safety Council Offers Three-Day Electrical Safety Hands-On Training in May

The Nebraska Safety Council (Nesafetycouncil.org) is offering a three-day 70E Arc Flash Electrical Safety hands-on training May 17-19 at the NESC office in Lincoln. Perfect for electricians, linemen and utility workers, warehouse employees, temporary workers, safety directors, electrical contractors, and more, participants will learn how the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E standards apply to a facility, why safe electrical work practices are important, and what can be done to ensure that your organization meets government standards for electrical safety. This three-day course covers OSHA and 2021 NFPA 70E standards.

Training will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The cost for members is $1,495 and, for non-members, $1,825. The hands-on labs will help employees comply with demonstrated ability and annual auditing requirements using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures, which are part of paperwork completed to document that participants have safely and correctly completed the labs.
