The Arts for the Soul Music & Fine Arts Series is pleased to announce the first concert of the 2012-13 season with the Carpe Diem String Quartet on Sunday, October 7, 7:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 840 S. 17th Street.
The Carpe Diem String Quartet is an innovative group that continues to break boundaries and push the limits of the string quartet, arranging and performing music of many styles, from classical to high-energy Gypsy, tango, folk, blues and jazz-inspired music. Their 2009 CD made the Grammy Awards Entry List in no fewer than four categories including Best New Artist and Best Classical Album. Whether you are a fan of classical music, fiddle music, folk or jazz, you will be captivated by these imaginative and electrifying artists.
Ticket prices are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors, $8 for students, and children under 12 are free.
