Code Beer Introduces Canning Line

Code Beer Brewery and Taproom (codebeer.co) launched its long-awaited canning line in February. The brewery’s first brands packaged and distributed to retail outlets include the Berry Lemon Sour, Continuous Wave Cream Ale, and Elmo IPA.

“Anybody who brews likes going into a local retailer and seeing their products on the shelf,” said Matt Gohring, co-founder and brewmaster. “It’s especially exciting that more people can now experience our beers.”

Cans of Code Beer are available at most Omaha and Lincoln Hy-Vee locations and at The Still, N Street Drive-In and Moran’s Liquor Works in Lincoln. The cans are also available for off-sale at the Code Beer Taproom. The brewery plans distribution to additional Nebraska locations and select retailers across the country over the next few months. Code Beer’s canning line was manufactured by American Beverage Equipment (ABE) located in Lincoln.

“This was a big investment for us and it was important that we found a company that could provide scalability and a high level of support to help us take our brands to a larger market,” said Gohring. “We looked at companies all across the country and it turned out the best solution was right here in Lincoln.”
Code Beer Company was founded in 2017 and is located at 200 S Antelope Valley Parkway in the newly developing Telegraphic District of Lincoln. The taproom has ample seating and a comfortable atmosphere. Beer offerings include a wide variety of craft beers brewed on location and food trucks are regularly on site so patrons can enjoy unique, local dishes in the taproom.
