From emails and social media to newspapers and newsletters, communication is a vital part of everyone’s day. As a result, the Lincoln Chapter of IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) is hosting renowned communications expert, Ann Wylie, for a day-long workshop entitled, Catch Your Readers.

The morning session will focus on making every piece you write easier to read and understand and on moving your audience into an action mode.  This includes a seven-step system for making your copy clearer and more concise. Time will also be spent on how readers think and thus decide what is of value and will capture their attention.

The afternoon session will concentrate on social media and applying the 70-20-10 rule for engaging followers, becoming a resource and passing the “Who Cares Test”.

Attendees can register for one or both sessions. Through March 31st, the cost is $139 to attend all day and includes lunch. To attend only the morning or afternoon session, the cost is $79.

The April 17th worskhop will be held at NET, located at 1800 N. 33rd Street in Lincoln
