“As Snug as a Book in a Bug” is the premise of BookBugz, a series of children’s books focused on the adventures of a group of friendly bugs throughout the year. Published under the pen name of K.C. Snow, the books are the work of Lincoln authors Holly Doerr Beeman, Teresa Burnap, Sheila Odom, and Pat Selk.  Myles Picks the Field is the latest release and represents the month of November. The authors will hold a book signing at Licorice International from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 12.  Other books in the series include, Spinner’s Spooky Surprise and Jingles Celebrates the Season and Lovey’s Lost Valentine coming soon.  Written for children age two to four, but certainly appealing to the age of six, the bugs demonstrate friendship, provide education, and encourage interactive exercises for young readers.
