The City of Lincoln (lincoln.ne.gov) is thrilled to unveil the launch of “Wild Wednesdays”—a vibrant and exciting new food truck series designed to transform the South Haymarket into a bustling culinary destination every other Wednesday, now through October 15. This city-led initiative is more than just a lunch stop; it’s a celebration of local flavor, community spirit, and outdoor gathering, offering residents and visitors alike a midweek escape filled with great food, live entertainment, and a lively atmosphere.

Set against the backdrop of Lincoln’s historic and revitalized South Haymarket district, Wild Wednesdays aims to breathe new energy into the area by activating a unique urban space: the Food Truck Zone located beneath the Rosa Parks Way overpass at 7th and K Streets. Each event kicks off at 11 a.m. and continues until food vendors sell out—so early arrival is encouraged for those hoping to sample the most popular menu items.

Guests can look forward to a rotating lineup of some of Lincoln’s favorite local food trucks, serving up a mouthwatering variety of flavors and cuisines. Past participants have included beloved names such as Pork’s Done, known for its smoked meats; The Tastee Trailer, serving nostalgic Nebraska classics; Crepes Café, offering sweet and savory crepes; Love 2 Cater, with hearty homemade specialties; Charcuterie & Events, featuring gourmet snack boxes; and Falk’s Ice Cream, a perfect stop for a cool treat under the summer sun.

Whether you’re a foodie, a downtown worker looking for a fun lunch break, or a family in search of something different to do midweek, Wild Wednesdays offers an accessible and enjoyable way to support local businesses while experiencing the flavors and culture of Lincoln’s dynamic food truck scene.
