The Lincoln Young Professionals Group (YPG) organized the first-ever YP Week in Lincoln, Nebraska Sept. 23-28, 2014 which showcased the work, passion and potential of young professionals in the city through a series of events, discussions and celebrations.

This week’s six-day, eleven-event series kicked off with keynote speaker Joe Gerstandt at Innovation Campus. Other featured speakers included: Kim Russel, President & CEO of Bryan Health, Christie Hinrichs, President & CEO of Tabitha, and Dr. Lindsay Hastings, Executive Director of Nebraska Human Resources Institute, Katie Hottovy, Brett Byman, & Ray Page, Nobl, Shane Farritor, Innovation Campus & Maker Space, James Bowen, Five Nines Technology Group,  Olivia Heidinger, moderator,  Randy Hawthorne, Executive Director of Nonprofit Hub, Stephanie Jarrett, Co-Founder and CMO of Bulu Box, and Kyle Bruss, Director of Talent Acquisition for Talent Plus, Inc.

The Lincoln YPG also honored Kayla McElroy as Young Professional of the Year and presented a Corporate Leadership Award to Firespring on Thursday evening at the Railyard Party, featuring MoSynth. Other events included an Adult Takeover/Game Night at the Lincoln Children’s Museum, Tailgate and Bryan Health’s Run to Overcome.
