Lund-Ross Constructors wrapped up work on two construction projects at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) in early 2014. A new addition to the Ken Morrison Life Sciences Research Center was built by Lund-Ross on the UNL East Campus. The 26,000-square-foot laboratory addition houses seven new state-of-the-art research laboratories, lab support facilities, offices, and seminar space. Sustainable construction techniques and materials were used throughout the project to meet LEED certification standards. Lund-Ross also completed an exterior renovation of Varner Hall on the East Campus. Crews replaced the front entry steps and built a new wheelchair ramp. Varner Hall houses the University of Nebraska Administrative Offices, including those for the president and the Board of Regents.
On the south side of Lincoln, Lund-Ross is nearing completion on a new branch bank facility for Exchange Bank. The 7,100-square-foot building was designed by DLR Group and is being built in the commercial area of The Preserve at Antelope Creek. Lund-Ross is on schedule to complete Exchange Bank’s first location in Lincoln in spring 2014.
