Roots Music Shop, located at 233 N. Antelope Valley Prkwy Ste. B, is a new locally owned music shop that has found a home in a historic building constructed in 1900. They officially opened their doors in December as a predominately used musical instrument store that buys, sells, and trades musical instruments. Roots Music Shop is Lincoln’s only roots focused shop and is the best place to buy and sell musical equipment because of its knowledgeable and experienced staff of musicians, superior customer service, fair prices and commitment to the community. Their philosophy is to be more than just a retail store; Roots Music Shop strives to be a musical institution that celebrates our musical heritage and supports musical education. They offer music lessons and classes for youth, and the Roots Music Education classes not only teach how to perform in a band setting but also about the rich diversity and heritage of American Roots Music. Additionally, Roots Music Shop hosts live music concerts, fundraisers, and other musical events three to four times a month. This includes a showcase of live music and local artists’ work or photography for viewing and purchase on the first Friday of each month.
