In honor of their 60th year in business, City Clock Company will host a Customer Appreciation Celebration during the week of September 9-14. During the week of the anniversary celebration they will have extended hours on Thursday and Friday until 9:00 p.m., offering tours of the entire store, both retail and repair, and repairmen will be on duty to answer questions. There will also be discounts and drawings for free merchandise all week.
City Clock Company was founded in 1953 by Wayne Burkey, and has continued to be family operated by Mark and Deb Burkey who have been involved in the company since 1976. Starting as a small watch repair shop in downtown Lincoln, it’s now one of the largest and finest clock retail and repair shops in the Midwest. After many years of leasing, they now own their present location at 5651 S. 48th Street. The company consists of four employees, including the third generation employee Taylor Burkey. They have over 1000 new and antique clocks in their showroom and all repairs are done onsite.
