Russ’s Markets’ summer-long Salute to Nebraska Farm & Ranch Families has ended with the presentation of $1,000 worth of Russ’s gift cards each to shoppers Karen Grant and Tanya Skinner, both of Lincoln. The prizes were donated by the Alliance for the future of Agriculture in Nebraska (A-FAN). Russ’s Market partnered with several Nebraska agricultural organizations, including A-FAN, for the Salute to Nebraska Farm & Ranch Families project.
The names of Grant and Skinner were drawn from more than one thousand names entered in the contest. Shoppers wanting to participate were directed to the A-FAN web site and asked to watch a brief video about how Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers care for their animals before registering their names for the drawing.
The contest was open throughout the summer to all shoppers at Russ’s Market stores in Lincoln and Hastings as a way for the stores and A-FAN to promote the importance of animal agriculture in Nebraska.
