Vega recently hosted a Lincoln Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony on December 2nd to celebrate the completion of their venue in the Railyard, and was also recognized as the chamber’s 1,600th member. This is an all-time record high for the chamber and a huge milestone in their 124 years of service to the Lincoln community.
Vega is an internationally inspired world-class venue with locally focused food, drink, entertainment and nightlife. Located on the second floor of the Railyard in the Haymarket, Vega will accommodate up to 500 people and features live music four to five nights a week. The co-owners, Jeremy Buckley, Eli and Carrie Mardock and Jeremy Wardlaw, each have come to recognize Lincoln’s potential through their various roles in the music scene itself. Eli, who formed Eagle Seagull and now runs a solo career, has gained experience touring with his wife, Carrie. Both have made numerous connections with tour managers and agents all over the world. Buckley is the founder of the Lincoln Calling festival and has experience working at the Bourbon Theatre while Wardlaw has management experience from his time at Duffy’s. Collectively, they hold a polished resume of experience in the music industry and have what it takes to manage a successful business and music venue.
