WorkWell, as division of the Nebraska Safety Council
, will be recognizing businesses and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional support for and engagement in healthy lifestyles and worksite wellness programs. The 2013 WorkWell Governor’s Wellness Awards Banquet will be held on October 16th at The Cornhusker, A Marriott Hotel, located at 333 S. 13th Street. During this event, WorkWell will be celebrating its 27-year-strong partnership with Lincoln’s corporate leaders in a continuing effort to improve the health of the community through worksite wellness programs. This year’s program theme will be Leading By Example—Wellness Builds All Star Businesses and keynote speaker for the event will be Tim Miles, Head Men’s Basketball Coach for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Governor Dave Heineman will also present businesses with the Governor’s Wellness Award. Businesses receiving this award have data-driven worksite wellness programs and have experienced measurable change in employee health behavior. The banquet will run from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and the cost to attend is $50 per person with a registration deadline of October 9th. You can register online at www.workwellwellness.org.
