Legacy Retirement Communities is pleased to welcome Barb Scott as Director of Clinical Operations.  In this new position Barb will continue to develop Legacy’s high quality service in the areas of Resident Care and Clinical operations.  “At Legacy Retirement Communities, we pride ourselves on delivering world class service and constantly raising the bar,” says Jay Bohlken, Director of Retirement Living for LRC.  “We are confident that by implementing this new role, we can continue to expand our services and enhance resident care.”

Barb brings 25 years of experience in the nursing field.  Barb graduated from Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ with her Associate Nursing Degree and later received her Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan.  Barb worked at Nemaha County Hospital for 17 years with the last 10 years as the Emergency Room and Ambulance Director. She moved to Lincoln in 2005 and began employment at St. Elizabeth Hospital where she worked for 6 years. Barb comes to the Legacy team after serving for the past two years as Director of Operations at Qualis Health.

Barb and her husband, Mark enjoy golfing, landscaping and spending time with their large family.
