Clinic with a Heart is happy to announce we recently celebrated ten years of service. On that first night in May of 2003, a team from St. Mark’s United Methodist church saw 19 patients. Today, the clinic has eleven mission team sponsors including seven churches, a temple, two hospitals and a teaching institution. We estimate that in our ten years, we have seen more than 17,000 patients. Clinic with a Heart would like to thank the Lincoln community for your support with donations and volunteerism, as this is truly a community effort!
In 2012 alone:
– 714 volunteers donated 11,994 hours of service to care for patients.
– 2,862 patients were seen during the year at 108 clinics sponsored by 11 Mission Team sponsors. Patients made 3,157 visits to the clinic.
– 94% of our patients did not have insurance.
– 71% of our patients have household incomes of less than $16,000 a year.
– Were it not for Clinic with a Heart, 43% of our patients said they would have gotten their care in the emergency room.
