Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping, a 10-week results-based fitness program for participants of any age, lifestyle, gender or athletic ability, is pleased to announce it has awarded more than $1 million in prize money nationally to its fitness challenge winners. Farrell’s has 51 locations in nine states, including two in Lincoln, and every location awards at least one $1,000 winner at the end of each 10-week session.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than one-third of U.S. adults are obese. Farrell, a long-time taekwondo competitor and teacher, specifically developed the program to combat obesity and assist people with developing healthy lifestyle habits. The program incorporates the fat burning, strengthening and endurance building aspects of competitive martial arts training into a course for people who are not interested in sparring or contact drills.
The Lincoln locations offer four or five sessions per year, and each session has a fitness challenge winner. At the end of a session, coaches determine the winner by comparing before and after photos to see physical transformation, as well as reviewing the improvement levels in fitness test statistics for each participant. Anyone interested in learning more about their local Farrell’s is encouraged to visit www.extremebodyshaping.com as well as join the FXB (Lincoln) Facebook page. Both offer photos of past winners and information on joining the next fitness competition.
