The Malone Community Center, located at 2032 U Street, will host their Winter Health Fair 2013 on Saturday, March 16th from 2pm-4pm. This event will include health screenings, and will offer giveaways for all attendees who participate in the health screening. They will also have information tables set up on a variety of health topics, including one that will feature registration for their Health Challenge. The health fair will supplement their Health Outreach Program, which advocates for the African American community in Lincoln by providing basic health care information and ensuring that there are no barriers to getting care. It targets African American adults who do not have access to medical or dental care and/or have not seen a doctor in the past year.
The Malone Center is a community outreach program, and their mission is to strengthen the African American Community by serving as a cornerstone for educational, cultural and advocacy programs for all people.
