Tabitha
, your answer for Elder Care, continues to raise the standard in memory care support, this time with a significant investment in team member training to enhance the dignity and well-being of Elders experiencing memory loss. More than 125 care staff from six different Tabitha service lines, including skilled nursing, assisted living and home care, became certified dementia practitioners this spring through the organization-wide educational effort. With certification through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, the designation denotes an individual’s education and training by memory care experts to understand and put into practice the most appropriate activities, psychosocial support, care and comfort measures for individuals and families experiencing dementia at any stage. Ongoing monthly training will be provided for caregivers by Tabitha in an effort to continually raise the standard in Elder Care memory support.
As a nonprofit organization serving 28 Nebraska counties, Tabitha’s love embraces a society where everyone is valued and empowered to live life to the fullest, with compassionate at-home support, innovative living communities, exceptional rehabilitation, health care and hospice services.
