In December of 2010, after 30 years of teaching at the YMCA and the University of Nebraska, Brad Holmes opened the doors to the Lincoln Budokan dojo and welcomed his existing students to join him at the new location on 601 Calvert Street.  Lincoln Budokan held a ribbon cutting on March 25th to celebrate their new business.

At Lincoln Budokan, Holmes offers training in Shotokan Karate and traditional Japanese martial arts such as Kendo and Iaido, with separate classes for children and adults.
In an attempt to simplify the lives of the students, classes at Lincoln Budokan are offered Monday through Thursday. Students are welcome to attend class each day, or choose the days that work best for them. There are no session dates-classes run continuously throughout the year. Tuition is $49 per student, per month for all levels, with no contracts and no initiation fees.
