Madonna TherapyPlus is pleased to announce that Amy Bloomquist, PT, DPT, attended the WorkWell training course and is now certified to provide Functional Job Analysis, Pre-Work Screens and Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE). Functional Job Analysis training certifies physical therapists to evaluate work sites, studying specific tasks and mandatory requirements and provide detailed descriptions, regarding workload demands of that particular job. A Functional Job Analysis can then be used to develop job-specific Pre-Work Screens to allow employers to screen potential employees and ensure a good match between employee and job. The result can lead to significantly reduced work comp claims and turnover.
Additionally, Amy is certified to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations to determine an employee’s ability to perform physical work activities such as lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling among other work-related tasks. As a physical therapist, Bloomquist works with employees, employers, physicians and insurance companies to identify what safe work activities and return-to-work potential.
