NAI FMA Realty held a ribbon cutting on August 19th to commemorate their 50 years in business.

NAI FMA was incorporated on August 17, 1961 as First Nebraska Securities Corp. by Evert Hunt, Dale Tintsman and Charles Burmeister. In 1968, the corporation changed its name to First Mid America Corp. and worked on real estate syndications. By 1983 the name had changed to FMA Realty, Inc. Bankers Life of Nebraska acquired the company in 1985 and FMA became an independent third party brokerage and property management firm managing ten commercial properties totaling 500,000 square feet.

In 1996, Tom Ball purchased the company from what’s now called Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. Over the past 15 years, FMA evolved into Lincoln’s largest independent commercial property management firm, today managing 75 commercial properties totaling 3.3 million square feet.

In 2003, FMA became a member of the NAI Global managed network and is now known as NAI FMA Realty and offers comprehensive commercial real estate services including brokerage, property management, facility maintenance, lease administration, accounting and related consulting and advisory services.
