The Nebraska Health Care Association (NHCA) and Nebraska Assisted Living Association (NALA) have reorganized to focus work in the areas of Advocacy, Member Support and Professional Development. NHCA, which serves as the state’s nursing home association, and NALA also support Nebraska’s hospice and licensed practical nurse associations and a licensed, accredited post-secondary college. In addition to an executive office led by Executive Director Heath Boddy, these work areas provide a foundation from which NHCA, NALA, and its affiliated organizations can serve member organizations and professionals across the state.

Government Relations Director Brendon Polt, JD, MBA, leads Advocacy and lends his expertise in lobbying, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, Care PAC (Political Action Committee), and other related areas.  Tracy Rathe was named Director of Member Support and oversees fundraising, marketing communications, member retention and recruitment, and finance.

September Stone, RN, MSN, and Connie Wagner, RN, co-direct the Professional Development Team. This area is responsible for all educational offerings, including those of the Nebraska Health Care Learning Center, product development, regulations and compliance, certification and accreditation, and workforce development.
