On June 6, patients and friends of the Lincoln Orthopaedic Center (LOC) were treated to 18 holes of golf and a dinner banquet at Hillcrest Country Club. LOC’s mission with the annual Orthopaedic Open golf event is twofold: it serves as a celebration of LOC’s patients getting back in the “swing of things,” while simultaneously raising funds for Friendship Home, Lincoln’s specialized domestic violence shelter.
This year, a record breaking $12,333 was donated through generous Lincoln Orthopaedic Center sponsors, a silent auction and free-will donations. Over the course of eight years, LOC has donated over $65,000 to help families who are leaving abusive situations behind to start anew.
Founded in 1948, the Lincoln Orthopaedic Center provides exceptional surgical and orthopaedic services including sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement, hand/wrist and elbow surgery as well as spinal surgery.
