The holiday season is often described as the most wonderful time of the year, but for many women working to rebuild their lives, it can also
be a time of deep challenge. At Fresh Start, they believe every woman deserves to feel the warmth, joy and hope of the holidays, and that’s why
they’re kicking off the annual Adopt a Resident program.
Each woman living at Fresh Start has thoughtfully created a Christmas Wish List with five items that would make her season brighter. Every gift is priced at $25 or less, making it easy for community members to take part. The items may be simple, like cozy slippers, a warm blanket or a favorite book, but the impact is powerful. These gifts remind their residents that they are not alone and that their community cares about their journey.
When you choose to adopt a resident, you’re doing more than checking items off a list. You’re offering encouragement, kindness and the priceless gift of dignity. Your support helps transform the holiday season into a time of celebration and belonging, even for women who may be far from family or experiencing the holidays in a new way.
