Angels Among Us Invites Nationally-Known Artist Jeff Hanson to Gala

Angels Among Us (www.MyAngelsAmongUs.org) is hosting its gala on Friday, September 20, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at A View on State (13467 State St., Omaha). This year’s event, presented by the David Spence Cancer Foundation, is themed around art. As a result, Angels Among Us, along with honorary chairs Jeff Kavich and Donna Kush, invited nationally-known Artist Jeff Hanson to attend.

Jeff Hanson (www.jeffhansonart.com) will be live auctioning a piece of his work created specifically for Angels Among Us. Jeff is an award-winning, philanthropic artist on a mission to change the world through art. Visually impaired since childhood from Neurofibromatosis, Jeff’s acrylic-on-canvas works employ bold color and heavily sculptured texture to create an unmistakable signature style. Self-taught as an artist, Jeff first began painting while undergoing chemotherapy at age 12. Despite his limited vision, he continues to create brilliant artwork—a sight for sore eyes, he calls it.

In addition to Jeff Hanson’s incredible work, the evening will include a silent auction of over 65 items, and other incredible live auction items.

Angels Among Us is a Nebraska nonprofit that provides financial and emotional support to families whose children are battling pediatric cancer. Any family living-in or being treated in Nebraska is eligible to apply for financial support. In 2018, Angels Among Us provided financial support to 99 families, giving over $355,000, so they were able to remain stable during their pediatric cancer journey.
