Summer 2014 marks the 10th year for the Bright Lights summer book fair. The event was started as a way to raise funds for the Bright Lights Scholarship Fund while at the same time providing exciting reading material and educational kits for students. Since its beginning, almost $30,000 has been raised to support summer learning through need-based scholarships.
For the past few years, Usborne consultant, Mariam LeBlanc, has been the primary supplier of books, with additional materials provided by Barnes & Noble. The cooperative spirit between these two companies has ensured that books covering subject matters from many Bright Lights classes are available.
