For 25 years, LEGO® classes have been a signature class at Bright Lights. As the interest has continued to grow, so has the need for additional classes and funding for LEGO® kits. This past summer eight half-day classes and one full-day camp were offered.
The LEGO® phenomenon is not unique to Lincoln. Since being introduced in 1998, LEGO® Mindstorms® has been adopted as a creative platform to experience Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education for students across the nation. Colleges and universities on down to elementary, middle and high schools are providing students with real-world engineering challenges and increasing interest and excitement in the ever growing field of engineering through LEGO® classes.
