A panel with representatives from retail, manufacturing, banking, insurance and service organizations in Lincoln will discuss the impacts a business recycling mandate could have during WasteCap Nebraska’s Green Team Roundtable in August. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 14th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Harding & Shultz Law Firm, Suite 800, 121 South 13th Street in Lincoln. Cost is $10 or $8 for WasteCap Nebraska members and includes a zero-waste lunch. Pre-registration and payment must be made by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9th at www.wastecapne.org/greenteams/.
Started in 2009, Green Team Roundtables are peer-to-peer networking meetings organized by WasteCap Nebraska for business owners, managers, green team members and individuals interested in developing their knowledge in sustainable business practices. Roundtables begin with networking and introductions, followed by a presentation from the host or sponsor. Lunch is provided by a local restaurant or catering firm, with care being taken to reduce environmental impacts.
