Bright Lights Summer Learning Adventures is pleased to announce that both Calvert and Fredstrom Elementary Schools have been selected as the 2014 recipients of the Bright Lights Shining Star School Award. Each school will receive a $90 voucher for a 2014 Bright Lights summer class and a Bright Lights t-shirt to be awarded to a student selected by the school administration, staff or PTO in recognition of the student’s academic or character achievement. In addition, a representative from the Bright Lights organization will share information about the program with the families and students during a family event night at each school.
Bright Lights is a non-profit organization providing quality summer learning for students K-9th grades. The emphasis of the program is to prevent summer learning loss while creating hands-on learning adventures for six sessions each summer. Registration for the 2014 Bright Lights summer classes begins at noon on April 1 with the primary program dates scheduled for June 2-6, June 16-20 and July 7-11.
