Christian Record Services, Inc. Offers Free Programs and Services for the Blind

Do you know someone who is blind or is losing their vision because of age- or health-related issues? Perhaps Mom and Dad struggle with reading, even if large print is offered. Maybe Grandpa has given up driving because “It’s too hard!” Many people fear blindness. However, life doesn’t end when someone loses his or her eyesight.  Christian Record Services, Inc. (dba Christian Record Services for the Blind) (www.ChristianRecord.org), offers programs and services for people who are blind. Once an individual qualifies for reading services through the State or the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, he or she also qualifies for free services through Christian Record.  Additionally, Christian Record sponsors summer and winter camp experiences for people ages nine to 65 through National Camps for Blind Children. These programs and services are provided through generous gifts of businesses and individuals.

Christian Record Services, Inc. is headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska. Founded in 1899, it published the first Christian Braille magazine, which is still in circulation. Christian Record is a non-profit ministry of compassion that offers resources and services worldwide for people who are blind or unable to hold a book.
