Christian Record Services Introduces Expanded Online Library

Christian Record Services, Inc. (www.ChristianRecord.org) is excited to announce the upcoming launch of its expanded online library, which will work in conjunction with OverDrive, an online content delivery system.

This improved library system will give clients access to a larger collection of books in audio, braille, and large print. Additionally, clients will have more control over the types of content they receive as well as delivery frequency by way of a specialized web interface. With this new system, the organization will be able to add approximately 90 new titles annually.

Christian Record began researching options for redesigning its online library in 2016 as part of the organization’s restructuring plan. While the online library was under construction, the existing lending library continued to distribute cartridges that utilized specialized players from the National Library Services for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. Clients will be able to continue using this system alongside the online library, which will be available in mid-July.

Since 1899, Christian Record has touched the lives of people who are legally blind through the distribution of reading materials in braille, audio, and large print, and by sponsoring camps through National Camps for Blind Children.
