Join City Impact
for the Grand Opening of City Impact Homes LLC on Wednesday, May 29 (11:30 AM – 12:30 PM). The affordable housing project consists of six duplex style townhomes and two single family homes – all new construction – located on three acres of land on Overland Trail (just north of Peter Pan Park). The Grand Opening will occur at the site.
The project utilizes CROWN tax credits, whereby residents rent the homes for an initial 15-year period. During this time, residents receive education in the areas of credit, finance and home maintenance to position them to be able to purchase the home at the end of the 15th year. Additionally, a small stipend from their monthly rent will be put into an account that will be available to them to help purchase the home.
Excel Development Group is the developer and Excel Construction Company is the builder for the project. Midwest Housing Equity Group is the Investor Member and City Impact serves as a Managing Member. The first families have moved in and the remainder of the homes will be occupied by the end of summer.
