Connected Forever’s (connected4ever.org) mission is to support families who experience pregnancy & infant loss or a NICU stay through resources, education, and emotional support. We have served families in Nebraska as a 501(c)3 since 2014.
The programming we provide supports families who are walking their journey during loss, pregnancy after loss, or having a child/children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Support for families includes support groups, one-on-one mentoring, family events, and private online support groups. Care packages are available to families and can be requested by the family or any friend, family member, or community member.
Connected Forever currently has mentors who visit a NICU in Lincoln to provide support to NICU families and staff members. Research shows that this type of support provided by a trained NICU graduate parent decreases length of stay for the baby, supports parental mental health, and increases staff satisfaction.
