Fresh Start Donation Center Emphasizes Need for Winter Supplies

Throughout the month of February, Fresh Start (www.FreshStartHome.org) is focusing on winter supplies such as Kleenexes, sanitizer wipes, hand soap, lotion, and ChapStick. These items will help their residents stay healthy during cold and flu season. Fresh Start offers donation times on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. During these times, there will be a staff onsite available to help unload your vehicle.

“The women living at Fresh Start appreciate knowing there are people not judging them, but are willing to help by donating needed items,” said Meg Damme, program coordinator. The women who live at Fresh Start have first access to the clothing donations and what they don’t select, The Daisy volunteers sort through for the shop. All proceeds go back to supporting services offered by Fresh Start.

Fresh Start’s mission is to empower homeless women to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency by recognizing and utilizing their strengths. It is more than a shelter; it’s a goal-oriented program designed to support women who are working diligently to improve their lives.
