Friendship Home Announces Volunteer Opportunities for 2019

A new year at Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org) brings new volunteer opportunities! At Friendship Home, they value their volunteers and rely on them to keep things afloat. With that in mind, Friendship Home wants each of their volunteers to be involved in ways they feel most comfortable and in roles that showcase their talents and strengths. The following are a few volunteer opportunities that Friendship Home is offering this year:

Match Volunteer—As a match volunteer, you will have the chance to work one-on-one with a child currently staying at Friendship Home once a week for an hour. Having a positive adult role model in their life has proved to be so beneficial for the children they serve.

Provide frozen meals—If you love to cook, consider providing a frozen meal for a family at shelter. Nothing can make a family feel more loved than a home-cooked meal.

Painting—At Friendship Home, they are always trying to keep their shelter fresh and beautiful for the families they serve. If you love to paint, you can volunteer to paint rooms at the shelter.

Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org) provides services to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions about Friendship Home, contact Rainey at (402) 437-9367 / raineyh@friendshiphome.org.
