Lincoln made sure women and children at Friendship Home are taken care of this year! Over 250 Friendship Home volunteers passed out needs list at each of the Lincoln Wal-Marts and at Sam’s Club over the weekend for the 13th annual StarTran Stuff the Bus event. Lincoln provided $30,000 in items and cash over the weekend! All items and cash will be used to ensure women and children escaping domestic violence have a safe and healthy place to live.

Deejays from Three Eagles stations (1240AM KFOR, 106.3 KFRX, KX 96.9, 92.9 The Eagle, ESPN 1480, and 104.1 The Blaze) helped all weekend long by selling raffle tickets, loading items, and sweeping through Sam’s Club Friday morning during the ‘Safety Scavenge’ to kick off Stuff the Bus.

If you would like to contribute to the Stuff the Bus efforts, call Friendship Home’s development office at (402) 434-0167. Please call the anonymous shelter line at 437-9302 if you are in need of help. A trained advocate is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
