Friendship Home Invites Lincoln Residents to Sponsor a Family for the Holidays

Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org) invites Lincoln residents to help sponsor a family at their shelter for a Thanksgiving meal this year. With the holidays fast approaching, anyone can help out by providing victims of domestic violence with classic Thanksgiving treats like turkey, stuffing, yams, and cranberry sauce. The holidays can be especially hard for families and children rebuilding their lives after domestic violence, and choosing to sponsor a meal can make their Thanksgiving feel special.

Thanks to the continued support of the community, the holiday season can be a wonderful time of year for people at the Friendship Home. Through the Sponsored Families program, community members are matched with a family and given the chance to make their holidays bright. If you are interested in either sponsoring a family for Thanksgiving or any of the upcoming holidays, please contact Rainey at raineyk@frienshiphome.org or call (402) 437-9367.

Friendship Home provides crisis services, emergency shelter, and transitional housing to victims of domestic violence and their children.
