Friendship Home Releases Date for Annual “Stuff the Bus” Fundraiser April 4–5

The Friendship Home (friendshiphome.org) invites the greater Lincoln community to support the 21st annual Stuff the Bus event benefiting domestic violence victims and their children. This year’s Stuff the Bus is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5, and is co-sponsored by StarTran, Alpha Media Radio Stations, and all Lincoln area Walmarts and Sam’s Clubs.

Volunteers will be handing out needs lists with a variety of items and price ranges at all Lincoln area Walmart and Sam’s Clubs locations and stuffing busses from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Stuff the Bus is an opportunity for Friendship Home to help raise awareness about domestic violence while collecting basic needs for families living in a safe emergency shelter.

Last year, Friendship Home provided services for over 1,500 victims of domestic violence and over 60% of those served in the shelter were children. Friendship Home exists to support victims of domestic violence and their children with emergency shelter, transitional housing, and crisis services. This includes a continuum of safe, confidential shelter options from emergency to transitional shelter helping to empower freedom from domestic violence.

Friendship Home is Lincoln’s only safe, confidential emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children.
