The Friendship Home of Lincoln recently welcomed four new members to their Board of Directors. Gwen Batcher, Keith Lawson, Stan Maly, and Reshell Ray began their three year volunteer term in January 2012.

Gwen Batcher is a retired farmer. Gwen and her husband have supported Friendship Home with creative and meaningful volunteer service for a number of years. She will serve on the Finance Committee.

Dr. Keith Lawson is a surgeon with Lincoln Orthopaedic Center. For several years Lincoln Orthopaedic has hosted an annual golf tournament for patients who have undergone total joint replacements. The past two years, Dr. Lawson emceed the event, which also raised funds, awareness, and support for Friendship Home.

Stan Maly is the Vice-President of NEBCO and has shown his dedication to the Lincoln community through board service for Cornhusker Place, Downtown Lincoln Association, and the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

Reshell Ray is a Professor at UNL and serves as Assistant Director of East Campus Programs and Services. She is an active leader at UNL and has been a positive presence in the lives of her students.

Friendship Home provides safe, confidential shelter, comprehensive supportive services, and advocacy to battered women and their children. Services include emergency shelter, transitional shelter, crisis intervention, and pre-shelter and post-shelter services.
