Friendship Home is pleased to announce their Stuff the Bus and Vagina Monologues fundraising event.
StarTran, in cooperation with North Wal-Mart, South Wal-Mart, East Wal-Mart, Sam’s and the stations of Three Eagles Communications (1240AM KFOR, 106.3 KFRX, KX 96.9, 92.9 The Eagle, ESPN 1480, and 104.1 The Blaze), is sponsoring Stuff the Bus for Friendship Home April 13, 14, and 15. Come help fill the buses by donating NEW items needed by women and children at Friendship Home.
StarTran buses will be parked in front of all the Wal-Marts and Sam’s Club in Lincoln all weekend long and Friendship Home volunteers will be handing out lists of highly needed items from 12- 5pm Friday, 10am-5pm Saturday, and 12-5pm Sunday.
You can also go to the Vagina Monologues April 27 & 28 and support Friendship Home and Voices of Hope. Performances will be held at the UNL Student Union main campus. Special student ticket price of $10 with a valid ID! Regular tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the night of the performance. Tickets are available by email to vdaylincoln@yahoo.com. Proceeds benefit your local domestic violence shelter and advocacy group.
